On Sunday, 1st March 2026, The Foundation for Healthcare hosted this special interfaith evening at the elegant Decorium Venue, bringing together communities from diverse backgrounds to break fast and stand united in a common cause.
In the spirit of Ramadan, the event embodied reflection, generosity, and connection. Over a beautifully curated three-course meal by Spice Village Catering, guests experienced not only the warmth of shared tradition but also the strength found in unity across faiths and cultures.
The evening was enriched by inspiring and harmonious speeches from Imam Ajmal Masroor, Rabbi Herschel Gluck, and Bishop Elliot Vanstone, each highlighting the importance of compassion, collaboration, and collective responsibility in addressing global health challenges. Soul-stirring nasheed performances by Hamzah Khan added a deeply moving cultural dimension to the night.
More than a celebration, the Iftar of Unity served as a catalyst for change. Thanks to the generosity and commitment of attendees, an incredible £36,530 was raised to support The Foundation for Healthcare’s hepatitis elimination programmes. These funds will directly contribute to life-saving screening, treatment, and awareness initiatives for vulnerable communities, bringing us closer to a future free from hepatitis.
